ShieldHer - Help for Victims of Non-Consensual Distribution

You are not alone.

ShieldHer can help you regain control.

A recognized trauma. It is not your fault.

What you are experiencing is profoundly shocking and painful. The dissemination of intimate images without consent is a form of online sexual violence.

The feelings of shame, anger, or fear you are feeling are normal after such a trauma. It is important to remember that the fault is not yours. The culprit is the one who shares your photos without consent, not the person who appears in those images.

Current project status

ShieldHer is currently in the testing phase (closed beta) and is not yet open to the general public. In the near future, we will offer early access through our partner associations.

I need help now

What is ShieldHer?

Think of ShieldHer as a personal digital shield. Instead of searching for your photos yourself, our technology continuously scans the web to find content where faces appear.

To find out if images of you have been found, you need to create your secure facial fingerprint. It is a unique digital signature of your face, impossible to decipher or use to recreate a photo.

This fingerprint is then compared, completely anonymously, to our database. If content where your face appears is detected, we automatically send takedown requests to the concerned platforms and hosts.

Protection in 3 simple steps

1

Secure Verification

Via our future mobile application, you will make a short video of your face to prove your identity.

2

Creation of your Fingerprint

Your face is transformed into a unique digital signature, directly on your device. Your video never leaves your phone.

3

Detection & Action

Your fingerprint is compared to our database. If matching content is found, we take care of the rest.

Comprehensive support to protect you

Our goal is to relieve you of as much of the technical and emotional burden as possible. Once content is detected, the ShieldHer system takes care of everything:

  • Automatic takedown requests: We immediately send formal deletion requests to platforms (social networks) and hosts of the concerned sites.
  • Evidence collection: The system takes screenshots, records URLs, detection dates, and technical information about the servers. All this evidence is stored in a secure folder, which you can use if you decide to take legal action.

In the future, we want to work with a network of partners (associations, lawyers) so that you have as little to do as possible. The goal is to protect you from the trauma of having to manage these steps yourself, so you can focus on your recovery.

Our role, in full transparency

What you can do right now

Talk and get support

Do not stay alone. Contact a help association (see the list below) or a trusted person. Moral support is crucial.

Preserve evidence

Take screenshots of publications, messages, profiles. This evidence is precious for asserting your rights.

Consider filing a complaint

It is your right, but not an obligation. The dissemination of your images is a serious crime. An association can help you with this process.

Prepare to act

Be ready to use the tool as soon as it launches. Our verification process is simple and fast. In the meantime, focus on the other steps.

Where to find help?

You are not alone. Many resources exist to inform, accompany, and support you. Here is a list of useful contacts and services:

  • 116 006 - France Victimes: National helpline for victims, free and confidential.
  • #StopFisha: Association specializing in the fight against porn-revenge. Contact: help@stopfisha.org.
  • 3018 - Digital Violence: Emergency number, particularly for cyberbullying and sextortion.
  • StopNCII.org: International tool already operational that uses file hashes.

Your frequent questions

How do you protect my privacy?

Your privacy is our absolute priority. You never send the images that have been leaked. With our future application, you will create a secure facial fingerprint directly on your phone. Only this encrypted fingerprint, which does not allow your face to be reconstructed, is sent to our services.

Do I have to give my name or create an account?

No. There is no name, no email, no password. To ensure maximum confidentiality and security, the only "key" to use the service will be your face. No one but you will be able to launch a search.

How can I see the results?

To protect you from any form of pressure or coercion, it will not be possible to see the results directly at first. If content is found, ShieldHer will act silently, sending takedown requests automatically. You are thus protected without having to be confronted with these images again.

In a second phase, we will set up partnerships to allow those who wish to consult the results. This will be done only in the secure premises of a partner association, where you will be alone (without a husband, family, or relatives) with trained professionals to accompany you.

Is the service really free?

Yes, 100% free, with no strings attached. ShieldHer is a non-profit project supported by associations. Our mission is to help you, not to profit from your distress.

You deserve to be safe.

Asking for help is not a weakness, it is the first step to regaining control. ShieldHer and its partners are here to help you, one step at a time.
